Ayurveda, an old traditional Indian medicine, is the most complete alternative medicine, a healthy life style, known and practiced all over the world. It is old, thousands of years, and at the same time so utterly modern.
One of the most famous teachers about Ayurveda and the Ayurvedic philosophy is Deepak Chopra.

An easy, healthy and nice introduction
I just want to introduce this medicine, to make you curious and to awaken the longing to start for instance with just an easy and daily health supporting habit.
It is a simple body self-massage, with warm oil and one or more essential oils.
How?
Take 3 spoons with oil:
To activate kapha (structure power) : use olive oil or mustard oil
To calm down pitta (fire power): use coco oil
To calm down vata (impulse power): use sesame oil
Warm it up a little. Add 25 drips essential oil.
For calming down, relaxing: for instance lavender (Lavendula Officinalis).
For energizing: rosemary (Rosmarinus Officinalis)
There are many more essential oils! The real essential oils are expensive, but chemical copies (which are cheaper) are bad for the senses. It is good to start with just a few bottles, to have a choice, and a good result. A good brand is “Chi”, or “Volatile”….==

The massage by an Ayurvedic masseur
Much oil is needed. Also the more intime zones of the body will be massaged. It is not meant to be an erotic massage though. Though it can be experienced like this.
If you have problems with this, with even the best therapist/masseur, then you can ask your partner or a good friend to massage you.
Learn about it by reading about it, watching videos about it, by practicing. Search for more here, for instance.
Most important parts of the massage however are the head and the feet. The Ayurvedic foot massage is very popular in the meantime and well known as a part of the reflexzonetherapy.

Food and herbs, yoga, meditation, exercises…. and books!
All what I explain in my blog, my vision and opinion about health and healthcare, are generally based on Ayurveda. I mostly share the ideas, philosophies, and way of living, taking care for myself, my health, and for the health of others. You can read my former blog posts. You can also read special books about Ayurveda. “Perfect Health“, for instance, written by Deepak Chopra.
